    Terms & Conditions

For the full Terms and Conditions of submitting a script to TROUBIE SHORTS, please see below. Read these carefully before submitting. Any entry which does not comply with the Terms and Conditions will be deemed ineligible.

I agree to the Terms and Conditions listed below

    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    Scripts Submissions

By entering your script to TROUBIE you are agreeing to the following:

The word “Script” covers all work submitted for the purpose of the competition, any live performance of the work, publications of the work and video/film of the work. TROUBIE refers to TROUBIE Pty LTD along with all employees and representatives of this company. The word website refers to www.troubie.com.au

    1. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are acknowledging that you have the legal right to represent the writers and creators of the original works that you shall submit to TROUBIE on their behalf. You are also stating that you are over eighteen years of age.

    2. The running time of scripts shall be 10 minutes or less. (Scripts clearly longer than 10 minutes will not be considered).

    2. As a representative of the writer/creator of the script I hereby give permission for TROUBIE to publish the work on the TROUBIE website. To present, perform and tour the work into schools and theatres as a performance piece. To present the work in other competitions and festivals, such as Short + Sweet. To publish the work on the website or in book form. To video the work and present on a forum such as You Tube or Vimeo. If I am not the writer/creator (or sole writer/creator) of the idea, story, script, theatre work or any material used in the creation of the theatre work it is my responsibility to gain permission from all contributors to enter the work in the competition and any subsequent use of the work as previously outlined.

    3. If a script is selected for TROUBIE as a finalist or winner no royalties for any publication, performance or video or film will be paid. The scripts will be eligible for prizes and professional development opportunities listed on the website.

    4. If a script is selected as a finalist or winner, TROUBIE has the right to film/record/photograph it for marketing and publicity purposes. This also includes archival, marketing or publicity purposes in an unpaid public forum such as YouTube.

    5. Although TROUBIE aims to honour the writer/creator’s intentions in staging or videoing of their script, I understand that in order to have a script performed or video filmed it may need to be altered by the actors and director producing the script, due to staging/filming restrictions or the work running over 10 minutes.

    6. Scripts are assessed anonymously to ensure the highest standards of fairness and objectivity. In order for writers to remain anonymous to assessors they must NOT put their name anywhere on the script(s) they are submitting, including in the document’s filename.

    7. PDF, doc and docx are the only accepted file formats.

    9. If TROUBIE, for any reason, believes the above criteria has not been met then a play may be withdrawn from the competition.

    10. TROUBIE reserves the right to cancel the competition or refuse entries without notice.

    11. TROUBIE reserves the right to change or cancel any and all of the prizes and other promised results of entry without notice.
